Heavy Hands: release 2026.10.9 of IMPACT FRAME
2026.10.9

Heavy Hands

Brutes can't be lifted, Stomp Rush charges up first, a missed move can be cancelled, and the Gauntlet leads the menu.

The notes

Mostly about weight: what is too heavy to lift, what takes a moment to land, and what you can take back.

Added

  • Brutes shove back. The big men can’t be picked up any more. Go for the Giant Swing on one and he shoves you off and says something about it.
  • Stomp Rush charges up first. The air gathers in a cyan ink around the spot, then the whole thing thumps down together, with a ring along the ground.
  • A missed move can be cancelled. Once a move you missed is 75% done, you can turn out of it or chain into the next one. The heaviest moves still commit.
  • Your best Gauntlet score, under your player card on the menu, and your best wave in the Gauntlet’s HUD.
  • A new-version card. If the game is updated while a tab is open, the menu offers to reload. It only appears between fights, so nothing you are playing is lost.

Changed

  • The Gauntlet leads the Play tab. It is the big card now, and the menu opens on it. Ranked, the Back Room and Home Turf are the second card, and Sparring is the bar under them. A label on the Gauntlet says what its enemies do: they are watching, and if you repeat yourself it gets used on you.
  • A longer ladder. A run pays at most 350 Rep, Legend starts at 105,210, and every rank was reset once, with a one-time note when you next sign in.
  • Charged moves reach 10% farther.
  • The fight rules are now version 16 (it is in Settings, next to the release, for bug reports).
